The truck was purchased in 1948 from the Wood Engineering Company of Topsfield and was equipped with a 600 gallon centrifugal pump, 600 gallon booster tank, 51 feet of ladders, two 250 foot booster lines and several compartments for carrying small equipment. The truck also carried 1000 feet of 2.5 inch hose, 1000 feet of 1.5 inch hose, and 40 feet of suction hose.
